The College acknowledges the passing of one of its own, Dr John Edward McGovern, who passed away peacefully at home in Wollongong on 1 June 2023.
John resided at St John's College from 1957-1960 whilst completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at The University of Sydney.
He graduated on 3 April 1963 and retired on 18 December 2020.
John is survived by the mother of his children, Anne, his children, John, Sharon, Vanessa, Malcolm, his grandchildren Ben, Sarah, Sam, Zara, Harrison, Zoe and soon to be great granddaughter. He was 83 years old.
