1. How do I join St John’s Alumni?
It’s easy, simply click on the 'Click to Join' button. You can either fill in the registration form or join using your social media.
2. Why should I get involved?
You can reconnect with your old friends from the College; make new friends from the large community of St John's Alumni; browse a growing gallery of social, sporting and cultural photos from our College archives and uploaded by users; network with mentors; and, much more!
3. How do I share stories and photos on this site?
Similar to other social media platforms, you can share stories and personal photos to your connections! There are links on the Home page after you log in to post stories, photos, comments and send messages to friends.
4. What is not allowed on this site?
All posts and photos may be viewed by all Alumni, and by the platform's administrators. We request you avoid posting anything that may offend. See our Community Standards to find out more details. Any photos the admin team deem unwarranted will be deleted, and individual accounts may be suspended from the portal.
5. Why won't my photo upload?
If your photo won’t upload, it may be that the file size of your photo is too big. All photos must be 2MB or smaller to be uploaded. If you are trying to upload a photo 2MB or smaller and still having issues, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and an administrator will assist you as soon as they are able.
6. How do I create a club?
Firstly, complete the 'Start a new Club' form. Once your club is approved by an administrator it should be live on the platform within 5 business days, with you listed as the 'Club Manager'. Once your club is live you can start inviting Alumni with similar interests!
7. Can I add photos to the Gallery? How do I do this?
We would love to add your photos to our growing gallery of social, sporting and cultural photos! Just complete the ‘Share Your Photos' form. Please include the year the photo was taken and, if possible, any information you can remember so we can share that with the rest of the community.
8. Can I share a story I think is newsworthy in the news section? How?
Yes! We would love to hear about your newsworthy story, and share it with the rest of the Alumni community. Simply fill out and submit the 'Got News to Share?' form at the bottom of the News page. News stories that pertain to St John's College Alumni are preferred, and a photo will make the story more attractive to the rest of the community!
9. How long after I submit a gallery photo or a news article will it be visible on the website?
Photos and news articles that are approved should be visible on SJC Alumni within 5 business days.
10. How can I find a mentor?
You can find the Mentoring page here. You may search for a mentor using the search panel or select a featured mentor from the list below on the page.
11. How can I find old friends?
You can use the Search Directory on the 'Network' page to see if your old friends are registered, or invite them to join if they do not yet have an online profile.
12. Who can I contact if I have any questions?
